JHW Hangar Complex
In 1979, JHW purchased an established fixed base operator at the Colorado Springs Airport. The former Airwest facility was quickly re-branded as JHW Hanger Complex.
Today, JHW has a total of 61 hangars and an operation that consists of a maintenance facility, flight school, charter, fuel sales, aircraft sales and brokerage. In conjunction with its sister company (Pikes Peak Aviation); they are the largest private tenant on the City of Colorado Springs Airport.
Three generations later, both JHW and Pikes Peak Aviation remain locally owned and operated.
